"Teggs to Shutlingsloe and back"


First full week back on the track including 6 x 800m (30 seconds recovery)! makes me realize there is a lot of work to do before the start of the season. But the highlight of the week was a great eleven miler from teggs Nose to Shutlingsloe and back over Piggford Moor. late afternoon with the light fading and not a soul in site for over an hour and a half. Perfect!

"Woodbank Park and the end of the XC season"


As I'm not running The National this year the last round of the Manchester XC leagueWoodbank Park provided one last race to finish on a high. After a great first mile the first climb of the tough hill (pictured) really found me out and I slowly slipped down the field to a slowish 55.02. it's definitely time for more track and speed work!

"Alsager 5"





After missing last years race through illness I was really looking forward to this race, however a lack of track and speed work saw my first mile of 6.52 rapidly drop to an average of  7.07 and a 35.27 finish, over a minute slower than 2011.
