"End of Jantastic"

For the first year ever I have managed to complete the twelve weeks of Jantastic but still missed my target 5k time by nine seconds!  A total of fifty three sessions, minimum four per week and a long run of ten miles, which I am really happy with, including finding many new routes such as acos danes Moss (pictured)

The week was rounded off by a 7am visit to the White Nancy Breakfast Club  just before the rain set in for the day.

"Astbury Parkrun"


Time to test my jantastic fitness, this year with a 5k at Astbury. I had set a target of 21.50 but missed it by nine seconds having miscalculated the required pace which was less than the 6.55 I ran!!

"The Langley 10"



For my midweek long run I thought I would do the old "Langley 10", not run as a race for many years. In actual fact the Langley 7 plus down into the Clough was 12 miles and it was very dark in the forest when I got back into the village!

"Back to the Cloud 9"





Annual visit to one of my favourite races across , up and down Bosley Cloud. Wearing a pair of Runner's World"on test" trail shoes, although they weren't as goos as my usual fell shoes I was actually a minute quicker than last year at 1.26.23!
