“NYE At The Bowstones”

Nice dry and mild conditions for the annual New Year’s Eve run up to the Bowstones. Managed it in 67.44 which is over three minutes quicker than last year. Good end to the year.

“Return Of The Boxing Day Handicap”

After missing a year the handicap over the hilly four mile plus course around the forest made a welcome return. The weather was again kind with only a low mist to prevent views off the top of the course. Based on previous times I estimated 31.19 and I was 28 seconds down in 31.47. Not bad.

“North Staffs Silverware!”

The coldest and wettest day of the winter including strong winds greeted a first running at this course as the final round of the North Staffs league. I ran really well for forty minutes on a flat but muddy 8k course. Even better the club won a number of team and individual awards including runner up team in the V50+ division!

“A Mild Woodbank Park”

Run earlier in the season than normal it was a very mild and reasonably dry Woodbank Park for round three of the Manchester league. There was the usual three ascents of the usual hill which was as tough as always! 6.4 miles of hard work took 58.02 which was a few minutes quicker than usual.
